Divine Unity: Why We Gather on Pledge Day, December 1
Pledge Day 2026, Divine Unity: why members, families and friends of The Ethiopian World Federation gather online on December 1.
On Tuesday, December 1, 2026, from noon to 2 PM Eastern Time, The Ethiopian World Federation, Incorporated gathers online for Divine Unity, its Pledge Day. No registration is needed, and you do not need to be a member to join.
One People. One Purpose. A Shared Commitment. These three lines sum up the spirit of the day. Divine Unity invites members, supporters, families and the wider community to celebrate a shared heritage, strengthen the bonds between us and renew our commitment to supporting the Federation.
The inspiration comes from the Preamble to the Constitution of The Ethiopian World Federation, Incorporated and its founding principles: Unity, Solidarity, Liberty, Freedom and Self-Determination. Our collective future depends on what we build, protect and support together.
Two hours, six moments
The program moves through six moments: Opening & Reflection, Education & Heritage, Music & Artistic Expression, Healing & Renewal, Pledge Moments, and a Closing Celebration. Each one is an invitation to listen, learn, reflect, celebrate and contribute.
A goal within everyone's reach
This year, Pledge Day aims to raise $1,000 or more for the Federation itself. The funds will help sustain its work over time. Every contribution matters, and every pledge moves us forward.
You can take part in four simple ways:
Make a pledge or a donation.
Encourage your family and friends to join.
Share the event with your networks.
Strengthen the Federation through collective participation.
How to join
The gathering takes place on Zoom. The link, the meeting ID and the passcode are published on the Pledge Day page of this website. Save the date, and invite one person who has never attended a Federation event.
Come. Connect. Contribute.
